Android Sales Decline, iOS Gains During Holidays

Smartphones running Google Android operating organisation (OS) didn't log stellar holiday sales, as per new data from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech. The report revealed how Mountain View saw failing sales in the US, United kingdom of great britain and northern ireland, and France within a three-month period.

The specific time-frame ended on Nov 2022. At the same time, the Apple tree iOS "continued to make gains across most regions," Kantar said.

Apple, on the other hand, is sitting pretty at the get-go of the holiday period. Its Apple iPhone vii, iPhone vii Plus, and iPhone 6s are the three most pop smartphones in the United states of america, accounting for a combined 31.3% share of the market place. Meanwhile, across Europe's big five markets—Slap-up U.k., Germany, France, Italia, and Spain—both Apple tree iOS and Google Android made gains. Th latter accounted for 72.4% of smartphone sales there during the catamenia while the former captured 24.6%—"a strong yr-on-year uptick for both ecosystems," Kantar Worldpanel ComTech Europe Business organization Unit Managing director, Dominic Sunnebo added.
